In a bold move to empower the next generation of climate innovators, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Italian government have unveiled the 2025 Youth4Climate Call for Solutions. Launched on February 26, 2025, the program invites young climate leaders and youth-led organizations worldwide to submit innovative solutions addressing urgent climate challenges. The application window extends to May 26, 2025, offering a three-month opportunity for passionate youth to showcase their ideas.

With 1.9 billion young people globally—the largest youth population in history—this initiative recognizes the critical role of youth in shaping climate policies and implementing grassroots solutions. Despite their leadership in global climate movements and deep understanding of local environmental issues, young people often face barriers in accessing the technical, political, and financial support needed to scale their efforts.

The Youth4Climate program aims to bridge this gap by:
